Attitude

Your attitude determines your altitude.

What does this mean?

It means your attitude in life directly correlates with the direction you’re headed in terms of efficiency, happiness and overall wellness.

A positive attitude will produce an upward trajectory, resulting in a higher altitude. A negative attitude will do just the opposite, causing you to sink lower and eventually crash and burn.

Your attitude determines how you do something. Or better yet, how you do everything. Attitude will preface your approach, which has a direct impact on the eventual result.

Attitude shines the brightest during turbulence. When things get hard, your attitude is the determining factor for how you respond to the adversity.

Will you let it get you down and destroy any progress you’ve made? Or will you persevere through it and let it make you stronger? It all depends on your attitude.

A positive attitude will provide you with great fortitude, which is necessary for achieving your desired mental state – both during fruitful times and challenging times.

The key is to always maintain a similar attitude. Adopt an attitude of strength, confidence and positivity. That way, when things are good, they’ll stay good due to your powerful perspective. When things take an unfortunate turn, your attitude will bring you right back out of your funk. Your willingness to prioritize faith and understand that things will get better can diminish all the negativity associated with any unfortunate event or change.

If you seek a life filled with consistent success and happiness, your first order of business should be making sure your attitude is up to par with these expectations.

Adopt the Lion Attitude

It’s important to keep a positive attitude, but it might be equally important to establish an assertive one.

A Fearless Motivation podcast once introduced me to “The Lion Attitude.” It’s a great way to approach life, filling your mind with certainty and an unwavering confident perspective.

Below is an excerpt that better describes this mentality.

“Attitude is what you think, what you do, and what you feel about yourself. Attitude is everything in life. Guess why? Whether you rise or fall, everything is based on the attitude that you show in that moment.

I’ve been through tough times. I’ve experienced it and I want you to know that it wasn’t my money that brought me this far, it was my attitude towards life. It was my attitude to keep going when the going gets tough. That is the Lion Attitude.

The question is, what is your attitude towards life? What do you think of yourself as I’m talking to you now? Do you think of yourself as how friends, family members and others think of you? You need the Lion Attitude. The attitude to take charge of your own destiny.

Lions are not followers. They are leaders. Lions do not seek respect. They command respect and authority because they know they should be respected. Be a lion.

Society is shredding you of your very self. Head to toe, you lose your own unique footprint. You become what others want you to see, not what you want to be. Don’t let anyone push you around; be like a lion and roar so loud with your own spirit that no one will doubt you ever again.”

This attitude has a lot to do with taking control of your own identity and ensuring you maintain the confidence necessary for achieving what you want in life.

The more confidence and alpha mentality you have, the more success you will attract into your life. You can’t win in life by letting other peoples’ opinions dictate your feelings. You also can’t win by allowing real life happenings and thoughts to impact your mood.

You must recognize your self-worth and align your attitude in relation to your belief in yourself.

The Lion Attitude is the epitome of this concept. When you approach everything with the belief that the best possible outcome will happen, and that whatever outcome does manifest itself is fully meant for you and your betterment regardless, you will begin to notice a shift in your energy and perspective.

The Wrap Up

Life is full of uncertainty. There are unplanned things that occur that you have no control over. What you do have control over is your attitude.

Your attitude will result in how you handle the situation.

If you can master an attitude that is both optimistic and confident, you will be able to dominate every situation and thought that enters your life. If it’s good, it’ll be even better. If it’s bad, it’ll turn out good based on your relentless can-do attitude.

The choice is yours. What kind of attitude will you have?

“Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.”
